A winter's end full of victories and new discoveries!

A late winter filled with victories and new releases!

February and early March have been busy and exciting times for our team, with participation in major board gaming events. Memorable moments, inspiring new collaborations, and well-deserved awards have made these past weeks truly unforgettable!

The GAMA Expo

We kicked off this series of events with the GAMA Expo in Louisville! This convention was the perfect opportunity to meet creators, authors, publishers, and board game enthusiasts from around the world. We even had the chance to meet Manny Trembley, the creator of a Chip Theory game!

Next stop: the International Games Festival in Cannes!

France, Viviane, and Marc had the pleasure of attending the International Games Festival in Cannes, an iconic event for board game enthusiasts, and witnessing the prestigious As d'Or awards ceremony. With immense pride, we celebrated alongside our partner publishers the various awards won!

  • As d'Or Game of the Year 2025 for Odin (published by Helvetiq): an epic strategy game set in the world of Vikings, which captivated players with its depth and tactical richness!
  • As d'Or Expert 2025 for Kutná Hora (published by Iello): a game where players manage a medieval city full of secrets and surprises, a true favorite for fans of management games!

What wonderful victories!! We warmly congratulate our publishers Helvetiq and Iello for these well-deserved awards!

Back to Quebec for the AQIJ trade show!

March began on a high note with our participation in the Spring AQIJ trade show in Drummondville. This event is a key gathering for all players in our industry in Quebec. We were excited to reconnect with our retailers and announce that ÎLO is now distributing Fabli, a 100% Quebec-made product, across Canada.

Fabli is the perfect companion for play and storytelling, designed to grow differently. Made right here in Quebec, it offers a unique and accessible play experience. Fabli is intended for children aged 0 to 10 and is a screen-free, wave-free little reader that provides a unique and educational world: stories, interactive adventures, nursery rhymes, lullabies, and soothing soundscapes. It's a tool that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children through content designed for every stage of human growth.

We are proud to support local expertise and offer high-quality products, fully designed and made in Quebec.

During the AQIJ, the game Château Blanc won the Lys award! Published by Iello, it’s an Eurogame where players, as clan leaders in feudal Japan, manage resources and strategic placements within a castle to accumulate victory points. With mechanics involving resource management, worker placement, and dice, this game offers a complex and original experience for 1 to 4 players.

A great participation at Breakout in Toronto!

From March 14 to 16, Marc and Alain hit the road to Toronto for Breakout!

A highlight of the show: our games for younger audiences were featured in the Family Gaming Hall, where they were showcased by @littlemeeples! It was a fantastic opportunity to highlight our family-friendly games, which managed to captivate both kids and adults alike.
