ÎLO on the road: a January full of meetings and discoveries!

The beginning of 2025 was marked by three wonderful events where the ÎLO team traveled to share our passion for games, connect with our partners, and explore upcoming trends. Here's a look back at Game-itoba, Toronto Market Week, and the legendary Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg!

Game-itoba: lively tables and an enthusiastic crowd!

Our dear Alain flew to Winnipeg to take part in Game-itoba, an event entirely dedicated to board game enthusiasts. His mission? Introduce and host exciting game sessions featuring several titles we distribute.

Throughout the event, our gaming tables were a magnet for curious players! Attendees had the chance to test out our top games and, most importantly, leave with their new favorites. The energy was incredible, and the warm welcome from Manitobans already has us eager to return next year!

 

Off to Ontario for Toronto Market Week

Meanwhile, Éléna and Mathilde were in Toronto representing ÎLO at Toronto Market Week. This event was the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest releases and bestsellers to retailers and buyers searching for new products.

With our vibrant and colorful booth, the team presented a wide selection of games and toys, some of which caught the eye of many visitors. Special mention goes to Marioinex, Djeco, and our new kids' line, Kiwizou, which generated a lot of interest thanks to their unique designs and high quality. Between reconnecting with existing partners and networking in a friendly atmosphere, this edition of Toronto Market Week was a great success!

Spielwarenmesse: Discovering Tomorrow’s Trends!

Germany was the next stop for Viviane, France, and Marc, who headed to Nuremberg to attend Spielwarenmesse, the world’s largest international toy and game fair. This massive event is a must for anyone looking to discover new trends, meet publishers, and forge new partnerships.

For several days, our team navigated the bustling aisles of the fair, exploring the latest innovations. The goal? To uncover gaming gems to bring back to Canada and expand our catalog with ever more original, fun, and captivating titles.

But Spielwarenmesse is also an incredible networking opportunity! It’s the perfect moment to reconnect with partners we love working with and to build new collaborations year after year.
